The wedding also took place of Geoffrey Hall, (Coolnahinch, Kenagh) and Sharon McNamara, (Roscommon) on Saturday, 15th March in Ballinlough Church. The reception was held in the Abbey Hotel, Roscommon, which was attended by a large gathering of friends, relatives and neighbours of both bride and groom. They were entertained to the music of the “Conquerers” who put on a wonderful show, much to the delight of all present. We wish both newly-wed couples many years of happiness and wedded bliss.

This year is the hundredth anniversary of World War 1 where many local men fought, some died, some wounded and some returned unscathed. The Leo Casey History Society wish to commemorate all those men, especially the ones who made the supreme sacrifice. The exhibition will take place in the Ballymahon library during the last week in June.
