The Annual General meeting of St. Columba’s GFC will be held in the clubrooms on this Saturday, 18th January at 9p.m. Nomination and motion papers have been circulated. Same should be returned to Secretary, Pauline McNerney on or before this Thursday, 16th January. Please confirm with any nominee before submitting their name for election. This will avoid unnecessary delays during the meeting. Those who forward a motion must attend the meeting to speak on the subject.
Off To Germany
The very best of luck to Laura Callaghan, Derrycasson as she embarks on an International Tour with the ‘’ Dance Masters Troop Ireland’’. Laura is one of the musicians on the tour which will perform to audiences in Northern Germany and all around the Berlin Area from 10th January until 16th February. Laura is an accomplished musician / singer in the Traditional Irish Music scene here in Ireland and is a member of the Joe Callaghan Comhaltas Branch, Edgeworthstown. We hope she has a very enjoyable time and wish her continued success in her career.
Calenders and framed photographs of St. Columba’s winning Leader Cup team are on sale. Calendars sell at €5 each. Framed photographs at €25. Both items are available in Mulligan’s shop and Cloonagh P.O. They make an excellent present for friends abroad.

St. Columba’s G.F.C held their weekly lotto draw in Keogh’s on Thursday 9th January. The winning numbers were 12, 16, 17, 18 with jackpot of €4300 remaining intact. As part of their fundraising activities, the local ladies football club are holding a weekly draw based on the bonus ball in the main draw of the national lottery. Sheets are on sale in local shops or are available from any club member. Match the bonus ball in Saturday’s night main draw and you will earn yourself €20. Lines are just €2.
