Our next meeting is on Thursday 29th August in Cloone Community Centre at 8.30pm. Members intending to go on our next outing to the Dundalk area on the 17th and 18th of September are asked to bring their deposits to this meeting to enable final arrangements to be made. There will be a distribution of cheese and rice on the night and members are advised that they must attend to collect their share or have someone there to collect for them.


Cloone Show - We must congratulate all our members who entered in all classes, crafts, vegetables, cookery, dogs, cats, chickens to name but a few. Their input was greatly appreciated. Well done girls , see you all on Monday 9th September in Cloone Community Centre at 8.30pm.

The committee of Cloone Agricultural Show wish to thank everyone who supported their recent very successful event. Special thanks to all the exhibitors, patrons and sponsors and donors of financial and material prizes, the personnel who took part in the “special attractions” categories, everyone who helped out in any way before during or after the show. Special mention also the judges, civil defence, the local and national press, Shannonside FM, the Garda Siochana and the show supporters who attended the various fundraisers and supported church gate collections. The committee also appreciates the providers of the entertainment on the day. Cajun Country, Michael Moran and Frank Forde. Last but not least special thanks to the Beirne family for the use of the excellent venue which is a huge asset to this annual event. We must also thank most sincerely Damien Tiernan RTE South Eastern news correspondent for his assistance and presentation at the show on Monday 6/8/13, many thanks.
