Ballinalee May 13

Pony show - The annual Connemara Pony Show takes place on Sunday June 12th. This the 25th year of the show being held in Ballinalee. It has always been a great day for the village with the beautiful parade through the village etc. This year the show will host a qualifier for the RDS in august .This is one of only 4 in the country.

Tidy Towns

Its that time of year again .We ask all households to help out by litter picking painting walls gates, clipping hedges flowerpots etc. We ask everybody to keep our village litter free. We have a number of bins which were purchased by various businesses which can be used , however we remind people that they are not for household rubbish.

Hillside club

The clubs meet today Wednesday at 11am in Currycahill. Mary Cahill’s team on duty. New members always welcome.

Carnival

A number of items were left behind in the marquee over the carnival weekend. If you have lost any item contact club chairman Eugene Murtagh.

Benefit night

A benefit night is been organised in aid of the family of the late Aodh Brady Aughnashannagh RIP. Tickets for the night are 10 euro and it takes place on Sat May 21st in the Stags head. Music on the night by Chuck and June. Tickets are on sale at present and can be got in the post office or in the Stags head should tickets sellers be unable to call to all houses.

Mother and toddler

The mother and toddler group continues to meet every Friday morning at 10am in Currycahill CC for all pre school childen and babies. Contact Isla Duffy for any further details.

Deepest sympathy

Deepest sympathy to the family and friends of the late Paul Ward Camlin view formerly Aughagreagh who passed away at the weekend RIP.

Killoe ladies

Killoe ladies are holding their registration night on Thurs 12th May in the clubhouse from 7-8pm. New players welcome for all age groups. Any enquiries to Orla Toher 086 3280831.

Cemetery Sunday

Cemetery Sunday is penciled in for the last Sunday in June in both graveyards. All plot owners are asked not to dump grass flowers etc in the graveyard or in the vicinity. Please bring it home.

Strictly come dancing

On Sat 21st May at 8.30 in the Mullingar Park Hotel Granard GAA are hosting a celebrity Strictly Come Dancing . Yours truly has been practising over the last number of weeks and will be taking part . For a great nights entertainment tickets are 15 euro and can be got in the Post office.

Holy Communion
