Roses launch Lough Rynn Festival
The 20th annual Lough Rynn Harvest Festival had a very glamorous launch at the castle last week, when the 2014 Roses joined the committee to mark the occasion. The 2014 Roses were staying at Lough Rynn Castle for two nights on their way to Tralee and were delighted to be part of the fun. The festival takes place on 7 September and promises to be a great day out for all. Again this year the scouts have travelled all over the country and beyond in search of many new features, exhibitions and novelties for festival day, which promises to be bigger and better than ever. With live music on three different stages added to the mix this year, the excitement promises to be higher than ever. The continuing success of the Lough Rynn Harvest festival is a result of the big parish effort every year.

Annaduff gained two very valuable points by beating Drumreilly by 2-5 to 0-8 in Drumreilly on Saturday evening last in Division. Kenny Cox opened the scoring with a pointed free. Jim McCormack then made a great save to stop Jimmy Holohan scoring what looked a certain goal. Brian Fee equalised for Drumreilly. Sean McNabola then won the match for Annaduff with two brilliant goals in the 15th two more points before half time, both scored by Conor Gaffney. Drumreilly started the second half strongly with points from James Holohan and Brian Fee. Kenny Cox pointed a free. Graeme Taylor and Matty Cox exchanged points. In Div 4 Annaduff played Kiltubrid in Kiltubrid on Sunday and were beaten by 1-16 to 0-4 although the scoreline probably flattered a superior Kiltubrid.
