Community Games

The annual community games Easter Egg draw will be held on the 16th April with three monster eggs to be won. Tickets cost €2 each and are available from the children of the parish who take part in community games events. As always your support is greatly appreciated. Congratulations to Michaela Cox who has been elected on to the Community Games National Youth Council.

Southern Gaels

Training for teams U-8, U-10 and U-12 is starting in Killashee on Sunday next, April 6th from 11.30 to 12.30pm. Registration can be done on the day. Fee is €10 per child and €20 per family.

St. Brigids GAA

St. Brigids GAA club are collecting scrap metal. Any scrap metal you may have lying around can be dropped in Liam Farrell’s yard Clondra. In the next few weeks of the committee will call to all houses in the area to collect any metal items. The only thing not acceptable are tyres, fridges and televisions.

Race Day

County Longford GAA Race Day is on Wednesday, 30th April in Punchestown Race Course. Tickets €100, a limited number is available, so get yours from any of the club committee members. Always a great event.


Deepest sympathy is extended to Veronica and Brian Gorman and family, Clondra on the death of Veronica’s mother, Mrs Vera Lynch. May her Soul Rest in Peace.


Congratulations to Tony McKiernan, Clondra, who celebrated a very special birthday last weekend in The Richmond Inn, Clondra. Tony was joined by family and friends to mark this special occasion. We wish Tony many happy returns.
