Cookery Demonstration

Aughavas/Cloone playgroup are holding a Cookery Demonstration and Food Fare in Cloone on the 11th April and we desperately need to fundraise for the playschool, otherwise we won’t be able to run it as we are solely depending on fundraising to keep the playschool open. We would be thrilled if ye can advertise it in your local parishes so we can spread the word out there about the event & hopefully attract a good attendance.

Dancing classes

With Eamonn Cunniss, have started on Sunday, March 23rd and will continue for six weeks in the 98’ Hall, Ballinamuck, from 6.30pm - 8pm, on Sunday evenings. Classes in Waltzing, Jiving, Quick Step, Shoe the donkey, Line dancing and what ever dance you may wish to learn. Beginners and experienced dancers are all welcome. Adults €10, Students €5,

Friendly Call Service

Friendly Call Service calling older people in the Granard Area - The Rural Resource Worker made a presentation to the nurses in the new Primary Care Centre, located in Flancare Business Park, Longford. The Rural Resource Worker will be promoting the Friendly Phone Call Service to older people in the Granard Area. Any local groups in the Granard area are welcome to request a presentation on the service. Please contact Mary Mulvey at 043-3345555. The aim of this free confidential service is to provide information on local activities and services available to older people as well as an opportunity for a friendly chat. If you are feeling lonely or isolated and you would like someone to talk to, this is the service for you. The Friendly Call Service can be reached at 043-3349678 from Monday–Thursday from 10:00am – 4:00pm.
