Fundraising Hunt

Unfortunately funding towards our Community Walkway at the local GAA grounds was not granted by Longford Community Resources Limited. However local volunteers have decided to embark on a fundraising exercise towards completion of the project.

A Fundraising ‘ Hunt ‘ will go ahead on Saturday 23rd November starting from St. Columba’s Church at 12.00p.m. Thanks to Longford Harriers who have agreed to participate again this year and thanks to our local landowners who have very kindl, again, given access to their lands. The Hunt will be followed by refreshments in the Community Centre at approximately 3.30p.m and a fundraising auction will follow. Items for the auction would be very much appreciated by contacting Bernie Rogers or Pauline McNerney if you wish to make a donation. It is very important that the whole community support this event. By doing so the walkway can be completed and lights erected during the dark winter evenings. Again we ask for your support.
