CLONBRONEY COMMUNITY GAMES: Well done to all the participants who took part in the county art and modeling final which took place recently in Kenagh. Mikey Murphy and Roisin Duggan took first place in U8 and U14 respectively. They will now go forward to the national finals in Athlone. Emma Kiernan took 3rd in the U8 art and Aideen Kiernan took 2nd in the U12 model making. We would also like to say well done and congratulations to the U13 boys indoor soccer team who took 1st place in Kenagh recently. The team will now go forward to the Leinster finals. A big thank you to all the parents and mentors who helped out with the team. Anyone interested in the following events . Football U10 (mixed); Pitch & putt U16 boys/girls; basketball U11 (mixed) U13 boys/girls; variety U14;swimming U8, U10, U12, U14, U13 U16; quiz U14; project U11, U13, U16. This week’s jackpot is 4300 euro and draw is in Rawles for month of February. Envelopes cost 2 euro per line of 3 for 5 euro. All funds raised go towards the running costs of the club.

VET CLINIC: Emma Plant has moved her veterinary clinic from Brookelands Health Centre to a new location 300 yards from Kiernan’s Cross towards Ballinalee at the previous boot comp location. Hours 9.30 – 7 Mon to Fri, Sat 10-5 by appointment only.
PARENTS ASSOC: AGM of the local national schools parents assoc meeting on Thursday next in the school hall at 9pm.
TODDLERS GROUP: The mother and toddler group meets every Monday morning 10-12am in Currycahill for babies and children up to preschool year.
THOMAS ASHE HALL: The local hall will be closed from Monday March 4th for a 6 week period for renovations inc insulation , new window and doors, new toilets, kitchen , sound system, upgrade heating etc. Please support any fundraising ventures we will have to meet some of the costs. We have received a 75% grant from LCRL towards the project.
BADMINTON: Badminton continues every Tuesday night in the Thomas Ashe Hall 8.30 – 10.30pm. New members welcome.
FOROIGE: An information night for parents and children 13 – 18 years takes place on Wednesday next re resuming our Foroige club. Jim Maher from Foroige and our two new leaders will attend.
TRAINING: Coaching for our U16 and U18 gaelic teams takes place this Friday evening in Maguire Park at 7pm.
