Congratulations to young Oisin Flynn, Bunlahy who won first place in the Leinster championships in Dublin last weekend. Subsequently, Oisin qualified for the world championships which will be held in Montreal in the new year. We also congratulate Oisin’s sister Erin Louise who was placed 5th in the under seven championship. Oisin and Erin Louise are members of the Scoil Rince Breffni and we congratulate their parents Michael and Carla and wish them the very best in the future.

Granard garden club will hold their Christmas flower arranging night on this Monday night, December 15th at 8pm in Lus na Greine. All arrangements made will be raffled on the night and refreshments will be served and all are welcome. Please note that this event is on Monday night December 15th and not Tuesday night as stated in last weeks notes.
Clonfin commemoration committee wish to sincerely thank all who subscribed so generously to their church gate collection in Granard last weekend. The committee are planning a much needed clean up of the monument site in Clonfin and greatly appreciate all the support they receive.
Patrons of Granard Country Markets are reminded that the last market before Christmas is on Friday December 19th from 8-30am to 11-00am. All at the market wish their customers and friends a very happy Christmas and thank them for their support in 2014. The market will re-open on Friday, January 16th and look forward to continued support.
