With just over one week to go to the local elections, which takes place on Friday, the 23rd May, all candidates in the Ballymahon electoral area are busy canvassing and meeting locals with the hope of getting elected to Longford County council. Local candidate and outgoing councillor, Michael Cahill, Colehill is seeking a third term on the council, having already served the Ballymahon electoral area for the past ten years. It is the hope of Michael and his team to secure a third term as a county councillor for the area and we all wish him well in these final days with his canvass. Locals are reminded that the polling stations for the Carrickedmond/Abbeyshrule areas will be in Carrickedmond GAA complex and St Sinneach’s NS Colehill.
