The Roosky Kilglass and surrounding areas are saddened at the death of Edward (Eddie) Frayne, Roosky, Co Roscommon following a short illness. Deepest sympathy is extended to his family, son Michael, daughters Deirdre, Amanda and Tara, daughter in law Linda, sons in law Brian, Gerry and Paul, grandchildren, sister in laws, cousins, relatives and friends.

FETAC Level 4 & 5 Computer Classes

FETAC Level 4 & 5 Computer course on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at Community Centre Roosky mornings and afternoons. Modules include Word Processing, Excel, Desktop Publishing, EBusiness, Web Design, Database, Communications, Internet & Email. Some places available on both courses. Courses are offered free of charge to the following: Medical/GP Card holders, those in receipt of a means tested Dept of Social Protection or those with less than Leaving Cert. Some places available. The death has occurred of Mary Hopkins, Kilbarry, Roosky. To her son Michael, daughters Carmel , Dympna, Bridie and Ann-Marie, sister Margaret Mahon, daughter in law Margaret, sons in law John, Anthony and Paddy, grandchildren, nieces nephews, cousins relatives and friends we offer our deepest sympathy in this time of great loss.

Public Consultation

An opportunity to participate in the development of the new Roscommon. A local Community Development Committee has been established which will be responsible for the planning and oversight of Local and Community Development Programmes and the preparation of a local Economic and Community Plan with the aim of promoting Economic and Community Development in Co Roscommon. Consultation meetings will take place throughout the county as follows: King House Boyle, Wednesday 4th February at 7pm and Percy French Hotel, Strokestown, Thursday 5th February at 7pm. This is an opportunity for all individuals, businesses and community groups in Co Roscommon to express your views on the above.


The death has occurred or Elizabeth (Lizzie Kate) McGarry Renefarna, Roosky. Beloved wife of the late John Francis, she is deeply regretted by her sister in law Dolly, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and many friends. May she rest in peace.
