Welcome home

Eamon and Liz Cooney from Perth, Australia, formerly from Knappogue, Clondra. They emigrated some 28 years ago with their four daughters to start a new life for themselves. Liz is formerly McDonnell. Also on holidays in Clondra is Joe and Mary Farrell, Mary is formerly McDonnell from Clondra, both sisters of Jackie, Dyna and Fr Jimmie McDonnell, Clondra. Joe and Mary are residing in New Jersey, their son, Aaron and family is also coming home from North Carolina to catch up with all his family. While Aaron is here he will celebrate his 40th birthday with all his family and friends in The Richmond Inn next Saturday night. Its great to see this family all come home to visit at the same time. I’m sure ye will have a fantastic time and get to see all your family and old friends.

Bingo

Bingo in Newtownforbes, Sunday 14th at 3pm. €2,500 in prize money. All are welcome.

Walkers

I have been asked to ask all dog walkers, both on the canal and the roads, if possible could you please dispose of dog foul and keep both of the above nice and tidy Thanks.

Lotto

The St Brigid’s GAA lotto results for the 7 September were 2, 13, 22, 24. There was no jackpot winner. €40 winner Ann Griffin; winners of €20 were Yvonne McGarry, Sean Farrell, Dan Magan. The next lotto jackpot will be for €6,580. The draw will be held in Magan’s Pub, Killashee on 21st September.
