This Friday night sees the Curtain raised on this year’s production by our local Drama Group of “The Real McCoy” by Tommy Marren. Starting on Friday night 27th Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th March. This is a hilarious comedy and promises a night of laughter coupled with a deep and gripping story. The cast is as follows Anne Marie Donohoe, Carmel Nulty, Catherine Gunshinan, Eimear McCabe, Paddy Donnellan, Padraig Kelly and Colm Ward. Directed by Vanessa Flood. Ceremonies for Easter in the parish are as follows - on Tuesday at 7pm Penance Services in St Mary’s Church, Legan. Holy Thursday Mass in Legan at 7.30pm. Good Friday ceremonies in Ballycloghan at 3.00pm.
We extend deepest sympathy to Brendan Dohert, Clygeen and his family on the death of his father Eddie last week. His funeral Mass took place in St Mary’s Church, Edgeworthstown on Sunday and he was laid to rest in Aughafin Cemetery. May he rest in Peace.
Last week’s Inny Anglers Lotto draw was held in Mitchell’s on Friday night for a jackpot of €6,900. Numbers drawn were 1, 20, 22 and 28. There was no jackpot winner. Special Lotto draw winners of €40 each were Pauline Nulty and Tommy Doherty. This week’s draw takes place in Slowey’s for a jackpot of €6,950. Inny Anglers Club extends deepest sympathy to Brendan Doherty on the death of his father Eddie.
Results of GAA Lotto draw held on Monday, 16th March for jackpot of €10,000. Numbers drawn were 15, 24, 27 and 28. There was no jackpot winner. There was one match three winner of €100 Joe Teague. This week’s draw took place in The Hill, Carrickboy and results will be published next week.
Congratulations to John Higgins, Tang who was the lucky winner of last week’s Naoi Rath Ré Creche 50/50 draw. The prize money was €260.
Please support Irish Cancer Society annual Daffodil Day fundraiser this Friday, 27th March. It is the biggest and longest running fundraising day for the Society and money raised locally helps fund essential services for families touched by Cancer.

We were saddened to learn of the tragic and untimely death on Wednesday last of Damien Rogan, Tooman, Mohill following a road traffic accident. Damien was partner of Vanessa Flood who is director of this years Drama production. He had become well known to the members as he had attended rehearsals and participated in arranging of the set. He will be sadly missed by his workmates and friends but particularly by his parents, brother and sisters and his partner Vanessa to whom we extend our sincere sympathy.
We wish our competitors in Senior Scór Leinster finals in Ballymore, Co Westmeath the best of luck on Sunday evening next. Liam Butler will participate in Recitation “The Joys of Motoring” and Novelty Act “The Ghosts of the GAA” will star John Murray, Paddy Donnelly, Gerry Madden, Emer McCabe, Padraig Kelly, Patsy Brady and Liam Butler.
