A big thank you to everyone who supported our recent bucket collection organised by our wonderful volunteers who took part in the recent ‘Walk of Fire’ in Westport. during All monies raised will go towards counselling services at the centre.

Talk

‘Mindful Families/Mindful Parenting’ Talk by Dr. Brian McClean: A great opportunity to pick up tips, advice from Dr. Brian McClean a Clinical Psychologist who will deliver an informative talk at the centre 7pm on Wednesday, September 10th next. It is free and open to everyone in our community so please come along.

Granard Art Club

Are planning a photographic exhibition to highlight and create awareness leading up to the United Nations International Day for the Eradication of Poverty which is held annually on October 17th. The group welcomes ideas from local artists, schools, students, and from all in our community. The group commence their Autumn/Winter workshops on Wednesday morning September 17th from 10am to 12 noon. New members are most welcome, no qualifications necessary, it is the most positive relaxation therapy you will find.

Women In Touch

Will meet on September 16th next. It is open to all women of all ages. It will be a very exciting year as the group celebrate their 5th birthday. A host of exciting programmes including ‘Growing with Confidence’ will be on offer. Full details from the centre.

Set Dancing

Monday evenings in the centre, starting shortly. Contact Bill Quirke on 086 1549367 or the centre for details.

Will be available shortly with a full menu of events and upcoming courses. Details to follow.

Parent & Toddler & Childminding Grants

The Parent and Toddler Group Initiative is a nationally available fund from POBAL/Department of Children and Youth Affairs(DCYA) also the new Child-minder Grant criteria apply if you are minding or intend to mind 2 children, minimum 1 Full Time and 1 Part Time.
