St Brigid’s GAA club AGM is on in the clubhouse Killashee on Saturday, 24th January at 8pm. All are invited to attend. St Brigid’s GAA would like to thank all the players, management, sponsors, lotto subscribers and supporters for their dedication to the club over the last year. We would like to wish them a happy, successful and healthy 2015. The St Brigid’s GAA lotto results for the 11/1/2015 were 2, 7, 13, 16. There was no Jackpot winner. €40 winner was Imelda Fallon. €20 winners were Caroline Stewart, Ellen Finn and Ann Casserly. The next draw for a jackpot of €7,220 will be in The Camlin Bar, Clondra on 25/1/15. Yearly Subscriptions available from committee members priced at €45. Lotto prices is €2 per line or 3 lines for €5. Congratulations to Lisa ni Huallaigh and Alan Milton who got married on New Years Day. May they have a long and happy life together. St Brigid’s GAA club are selling tickets for a nationwide draw, prizes which include a trip to New York, corporate and premium tickets for All lreland football and hurling finals, retail vouchers plus many many more great prizes. All money raised from selling the tickets stays in the club. Tickets are €10 and available from all club committee members and players. The club would like to express sympathy to Alec McCloughrey on the death of his brother-in-law, Johnny Norris. May he rest in peace. The club would also like to express sympathy to the Whitton family on the death of Michael Whitton during the week. May he rest in peace. We would also like to express sympathy to Peter Loftus and family on the death of Peter’s sister, Nellie Loftus. May she rest in peace.

Irish Language Group

Classes for adults resume after the Christmas break on Wednesday January 14th in the co-op building in Kenagh (the old national school) at 8pm. Why not come along and improve your spoken Irish in comfortable and informal surroundings. All levels are catered for, so whether you are proficient or have only the “cupla focal” you will be welcome. Bíonn cupán tae ann freisin.


Lanesborough ICA are holding a meeting on this Wednesday, 14th January at 8pm in St. Mary’s Hall, Lanesborough. New members are very welcome.
