Sincere sympathy is extended to Patsy McGlynn and families, (formerly Knockloughlin/ Ennybegs), Cavan, Seamus McGlynn and families, UK, David and Liz, (nee McGlynn) Hickey and families, Newtownforbes on the sad bereavement of their dear brother Joseph (Joe) McGlynn late of Knockloughlin, Longford who was laid to rest last week. Requiem mass was celebrated in St Mary’s Church, Newtownforbes with burial in Newtownforbes cemetery. The parish express condolence to his brothers Patsy /Seamus, exceptionally devoted niece Liz and husband David and family to Dear Joe nephews, nieces, extended families, neighbours, Godchild Patricia, friends. May he rest peacefully.

St Mary’s Ennybegs, masses Wednesday at 10am, Thursday 7.30pm (Jimmy and Anni Rowley Esker) Friday 10am (First Friday faithful departed), Saturday 8pm (Pat Gillen Corlea), Sunday 11am (Thomas Gray and deceased families Ennybegs) First Friday holy communion calls Wednesday / Friday. All usual Thursday visits will be made on Wednesday due to Cathedral meeting. Exposition blessed sacrament both churches Wednesdays 6 to 9pm. The parish welcome all new 4th class who have joined the servers rota and wish good luck to the former 6th class servers who are now on another rung of the ladder. A special thank you to the parents/ families who support the youth in this ministry. Also all who assist the needs of the servers in the sacristy. A box will be placed on the alter during the month of November to insert a list of all deceased families/ friends for remembrance in weekly masses. Loy Association Ireland are having a presentation function in the Olde Forge, Killoe on Saturday, November 8 at 9pm to celebrate 8-time Senior Champion Bernard Casey and all other medal-winning competitors at this year’s All Ireland Ploughing Championships. There will be traditional music on the night and admission is €5. All are welcome.
