Mrs Bridie Harker passed away suddenly in Dorset, England, a sister of the late Mrs Mary Maguire, School Lane, Rathowen. R.I.P. Her burial took place on 15 April.


For Roseleen Maguire with intellectual disabilities who wants to follow her dream and launch her CD. Irish Night will take place in Ferricks Hotel, Rathowen, Friday, 25th April at 9.30pm, a great night of music and dance. Come along and help Roseleens dream come through.


To Tegan Denniston from St Thomas National School, Rathowen, who was the overall winner in this years school children’s art competition at the Longford Ploughing Championships. Well done, Tegan.


The jackpot of 2,500 euro was not won. The numbers drawn were 3, 11, 19, 26. Draw winners were Marie Haddigan, Nellie Nolan, Cyril O’Connor. Sellers prize: Veronica Donnelly. Jackpot next draw will be 2,700 euro and the draw will be on the 28th April in Connaughton’s Pub.

Inny Shamrocks

Training for the under 6 and under 8 and under 10 starts this Friday, April 25th in Bunbrosna at 7pm and continues for under 12 and under 14 and 16 in Streete at 7pm. If you have not registered yet, you can do so at the training. 30 euro per child which includes football kit, discount for more than one child per family, 50 euro for 2 children and 75 euro for 3 children.
