Rooskey church renovation committee, fundraising events, December 8th, cake sale and raffle in the old school at 12.30pm. Donations of cakes etc would be much appreciated from 11am that morning. Leitrim’s 10th GOAL Mile takes place on New Year’s Day in Bornacoola GAA grounds at 2pm. Your can walk, jog, or run a mile and afterwards come into the Copper Still and be entertained by singer and broadcaster Charlie McGettigan, actor/playwright Seamus O’Rourke, Laura Reynolds and Sean Mahon. You can also bid for wonderful items such as signed jerseys from Dublin, Cork, Mayo Man United, Liverpool, Celtic, Australian rules, Roy Keane signed autobiography, accommodation in Kilronan, Wineport Lodge and many more. Come along for an enjoyable day and to support a very worthy cause. All monies go to help those affected by famine and disaster.

Congratulations to Freda Beirne and Genieve Cox who are all through to the semi finals on the 15th of December in the Dean Crowe theatre, Athlone. Tickets are available through the box office. Well done to Cormac Hoare who put in a spirited performance, but unfortunately didn’t get through on the day.
