The Club will be holding its second Poker Tournament on the 3rd January – First prize is €1000. There was no jackpot winner in the last Lotto draw. Numbers drawn were 8, 9, 20, 21. Twenty-five euro winners were Kevin Keegan, James Shaughnessy, Ciaran Walsh and Willie O’Hara.

Community Games

Badminton for boys and girls aged 10-16 every Wednesday from 5.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. in the Community Centre, Edgeworthstown starting on 27th November. €2 per child. For more information please call Paula on 086-3575726

Santa in The Green

Santa will be in The Green on Sunday 8th December 2013 from 2pm – 5pm. Music Raffle, Refreshments and Fun for all the Family.

Raffle

Edgeworthstown Development are having a Christmas Raffle. First Prize is 50 Bales of Briquettes, 2nd Prize is a luxurious Christmas Hamper. Lots of more prizes including Wine, Chocolates etc. Cards on sale in local shops. The money raised goes towards the running of The Green and the maintaining of the town and surrounding areas.

Kids Fitness Classes

Kids fitness classes every Saturday at 11a.m. in St. Mary’s Community Centre, Edgeworthstown. Boys and girls of all abilities aged 7-12 years. Class fees €6.00 per child – discount for families. To book a place for your child or for more details, contact Liam Keenan on 086-4171736

Voter Education Programme

A “Train the Trainers” workshop for Leaders of Community Groups in preparation for the 2014 Local Government and EU Elections. It will take place in the EDI Centre on Thursday 5th (full day) and Friday 6th (half day) of December starting at 9.30 a.m. The Active Citizenship Programme is a workshop process of 3-4 sessions and is led by trained facilitators and is non-party political. Charity CD

When the Cocks Crow, a charity CD was launched recently and is now available to buy at selected outlets. Created by Jeff Taylor and a number of local musicians, the proceeds will go directly to the Irish Cancer Society. Cost of CD is €10 and is available at Edgeworthstown Post Office, Duffys Supervalu, Denistons Music Centre, Chercn Le Femme.
