It is exceptionally funny and promises to be a great night, so please put this date in your diary.

Success for Longford U-10s

With the help of a strong Gortletteragh contingent, The Longford U-10s rugby team shocked the traditional rugby establishment and created their own little piece of history, when they stormed to success at the Leinster U-10 festival, which was held at De La Salle Palmerston’s home ground in south County Dublin on Saturday 29th March. The Gortletteragh lads involved were team captain and scrumhalf Brendan Naughton and flying winger Ryan Cunningham.

The death occurred last week of Angela Hyland, Lanesboro. Angela, who was a very nice lady, worked with the late Canon Sean Rooney in the Parochial House at Gortletteragh from 1983 to 1987. We tender sympathy with her family and friends. May she rest in peace.

Football fare

Well done to David Mulvey and his Leitrim team mates on their well fantastic win over Mayo on Sunday last in Páirc Sean in the Connacht Minor league and to the Leitrim seniors who finished off their league campaign with a win over London. Hard luck on the Leitrim Under 21 team who missed out on a Connacht final win on Saturday last and also to the Leitrim hurlers who were narrowly beaten by Tyrone in the Division 3 B final on Sunday last.

Active Age

Cloone Active Age invite you to a “Go for Life” dance in Cloone Community Centre on Monday, 14th April from 9-12pm. Supper will be served and music by Michael and Tommy.
