St Mary’s NS Enrolment
Enrolment for September 2014 takes place in the school on Wednesday, 5th February at 2.10pm it will last approximately 30 minutes. Please ensure forms are fully completed before coming in on the day. You may contact the school on 043 6676161 or 087 9861815 and a form can be sent out to you.
Table Quiz
St Mary’s N.S. are having a table quiz on Friday, 31st January in Connaughton’s at 9.30pm, senior tables 40 euro, Junior tables 20 euro. All support would be greatly appreciated and any spot prizes can be given on the night. Many thanks.
Grandparents day
Takes place in the school on Wedensday, 29th January from 1pm – 2.30pm, all are welcome. We welcome back Mrs Jennifer Gilmartin to the staff on Monday last and gave our best wishes to Ms Aisling Farrell who was our substitute teacher for 1st class over the past months.
Commitment ceremony
This is for confirmation classes (5th and 6th) takes place in St Marys Church on Sunday 2nd feb at 11am.
Road race
There will be a 10k and a 5k road race on the 23rd February, starting from Bun football pitch, you can run, walk or jog, whatever you want. All are welcome. More information can be got from Bun GAA. Starts at 11am
Lotto
The lotto Jackpot was won, a big congrats to Pauline Nulty. Draw winners were - Paul Keenan, Declan O’Connor and Amy Keon. Sellers prize to Max and Tom Nulty. Jackpot for next draw 1,500 euro, draw takes place on the 03/02/2014 in Connaughton’s Pub.
Death
The death took place last week of Jennifer (Jean) Weir, nee Kelly, aged 106 years. Widow of the late Thomas Weir, (retired Garda Sergeant) from Rathowen. Jenny spent the last 20 years in a nursing home in Aughrim County Galway. She had three of a family, Des now living in Dundalk, Gerry and the late Monica. May she rest in peace.
