U-21s Successful Debut

St. Brigid’s made a promising start to their U-21 Championship campaign when they accounted for Kiltoghert Gaels with ten points to spare in the rain of Sunday afternoon. The lineout was Colin Maguire, Anthony Holahan, Noel Plunkett, Philip Dolan, Joe Earley, Rory McTague Stephen Gilheany (2pts.), Mark Plunkett (gl.), Kevin McWeeney, Keith Sammon (pt.), Ciaran Gilheany (2pts.), Brian Fee (pt), Aidan Dolan, Gary Plunkett (1-2), Conor Gaffney (5pts.).

Recent Deaths

The death has taken place of Providence, Rhode Island Rhode Island - born, and later Drumdiffer resident Mr. Francis McGovern, Convent Road, Ballinamore. His funeral took place on Wednesday last following Mass of the Resurrection in St. Patrick’s Church, Ballinamore to Oughteragh, Cemetery. Sympathy is extended to his wife, Rosaleen,

daughters Rosetta Fionnuala and Darina, son Frank, grandchildren, cousins, in-laws and other relatives. The death has taken place of former Killameen resident Mr. Dermot McLoughlin, son of the late John and Kathleen McLoughlin, Carbury Co. Kildare. His funeral took place on Thursday last following Mass of the Resurrection in Carbury Church. RIP
