Art classes

Art classes for adults, intermediate and beginners will commence on Wednesday September 18th in the Temperance Hall Longford at 7.30pm. The classes which consist of oils and acrylics will be conducted by Lorretta Cooney. For further information please ring or text 086 8478527.

Lotto

The numbers drawn in Kenagh GAA Lotto on Monday September 2nd were 1, 6, 10, 19. There were three match three winners Derek Belton, Kenagh, Peter and Olive Gill, Drumlish and Elizabeth Belton, Corlea, Kenagh all win thirty euro each.

Death

We offer sincere sympathy to William Allen, Lislea, Kenagh on the death of his father Alfred (Alfie) Allen, Richardstown, Corboy, Edgeworthstown which occurred at an advanced age on Saturday last September 7th. We also offer sympathy to the Allen family and extended families relatives and friends.

Mission appeal

The missionary sisters of Saint Peter Claver will be visiting the parish of Kilcommock next weekend September 14th and 15th to appeal to parishioners on behalf of the missions. They will talk to the congregation about their work on foreign mission fields and will be very grateful for any support they can get.

Badminton

Kenagh badminton club will be restarting on next Monday September 16th in Saint Dominics Centre at 9pm. Sessions will continue over the winter months on each Monday and Wednesday starting at 9pm.

Irish dancing

The Maureen Farrell school of Irish dancing will resume in St Dominic’s Community Centre, Kenagh on Monday, 16th September 5.30pm. Inquiries to Maureen on 086 3702719. Children of all ages welcome.

Progressive 25

Winners in Saint Dominic’s Centre last Thursday night were Bernie and Tom, twelve games, sixty euro, Larry and Dan, eleven games, thirty euro. Table prizes Tommy and Frank, Billy and William, twenty euro each. Raffle: Bernie Smith, Tom Nohilly, Jimmy Donegan, Niall Hughes, Eliz Clyne , Packie Feeney, all win ten euro each.

Mother and toddlers

The Stickey Fingers Mother and Toddlers Group are back in their usual place after the summer break. They will meet upstairs in the creche every Wednesday morning from 9.30am to 12 noon. Contact Patricia at 3322450.
