MATER CANCER RESEARCH APPEAL: The total amount raised by Eamon McEvoy Kiltyclough for the Mater Foundation was 2500 euro. Eamon ran the Dublin marathon to raise funds in memory of his late sister Oonagh. Well done Eamon.

WEDDING BELLS: Congrats to Geard Byrne and Janette Hugo St Johns Ballinalee who recently got married in South Africa (Jeanette’s home country) and also had a blessing ceremony in Dublin last April. We wish them both every happiness and health for the future.

CCE: Longford County CCE committee chaired by Martin Murphy would like to thank the traders and people of the Ballinalee area for their support and friendship over the weekend of the fleadh in the village. There were a lot of local winners which will be announced later. The Leinster finals are being held in Enniscorthy Co Wexford from 13 – 15 July. We wish the best of luck to all.
