ANNUAL GENERAL MEETTING: The Colmcille senior club held their AGM on Sunday 4th December last in the community centre and the following officers were elected. Presidents Rev Fr Seamus McKeon and Cecil Bleakley; vice presidents Jack Macken; chairperson Marie O’Reily Keenan; vice chairperson Colm Ginty; secretary John Reilly; treasurer Francis Kennedy and Sean MacGauran; PROs Shane MacGauran,Brendan Reilly;Irish officer Grace MacGahern; development officer Joe Mulligan; insurance officer Barry Kennedy; registrar Myles Reilly childrens officer Ali MacKeon; county board delegates Marie O’Reily Keenan ,John Reilly, Colm Ginty, Seamus Tracey; U21 delegate Barry MacKeon; executive members all the above plus John Flanagan,Joe Mulligan Gerry MacCabe; Karl Bleakley,PJ Mulligan Seamus MacKeon. Plaayer of the year John Paul Reilly,Smear Hill; club man of the year Sean MacGauran, Soonagh and John Reilly Dernavogy.
Ladies presentation: The Colmcille ladies club presentation took place on Saturday night 10th December in the Breffni Arms Hotel Arva. It was held jointly with the Colmcille senior club and it proved to be a great success. The ladies team were presented with their intermediate championship medals and Leinster League medals by Delores Kiernan chairperson of the Longford county board. Presentations were also made to Grainne Reilly Shannon Bransfield and Michelle Farrell members of the county under 16 team. Also to receive awards on the night were Barbara Jones Rathmore Phil Mulligan chairman Stephen Coy trainer of the team and Michelle Farrell as Leinster young players of the year. The team now move up to senior ranks for 2012.The club would also like to thank Mary McKeon Myles Reilly Joe Mulligan for all their help on the night.
