Congratulations to Carol (nee McDonnell) and Niall O'Buachalla Dublin on the recent birth of their baby girl called Aoife. Aoife is a very welcome sister for Conor and Oisin. Congratulations are also extended to the proud grandparents, Mary and Jackie, on the birth of their first granddaughter.

ENGAGED

Congratulations to Mark Egan, Derryhawn, who recently announced his engagement to Cristin Mercer, Florida. Congratulations are also extended to Mark's sister Nicola who also announced her engagement to Marty Morgan. We wish both couples every happiness and blessing as they plan their futures together.

GLEE CLUB

Due to popular demand second term of Glee Club starts on January 22 from 11.30 to 1pm in clondra Community Centre. All newcomers aged 4 years to 12 years are welcome. Call Lisa on 087-7619605 for information and booking. Limited places so book ASAP to guarantee your child's spot.

LOTTO

The local lotto draw was held recently numbers drawn were 12, 13, 17 and 24. There was no jackpot winner. e40 went to Kathleen Carrig. e20 each went to Denis Skelly, Ambrose Murtagh and Barbara Ferguson. The next draw will be held in Magan's Killashee on January 16 for a jackpot of e13,380. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.

SYMPATHY

Deepest sympathy is extended to Harry Stewart, Ballinamore and family on the recent death of Harry's sister Mrs Kathleen Jones, Kells and Kenagh. Funeral took place in Kenagh.

SYMPATHY

Deepest sympathy is extended to the McGrath family, Derrygeel, on the death of Ann McGrath Dublin and Derrygeel. Anne as predeceased by her parents Nancy and Pee. She is survived by her sisters Marie, Rita, Cait and Eileen and by her brothers Joe, Dominic and Martin, relatives and friends. May her soul rest in peace.

WELL DONE

Well done to Kevin Casey, Killashee, who took part in the Winning Streak Programme on RTE at the weekend. Kevin was representing his granddad, Frank Gibbons, and came away with a tidy sum. We wish them all good luck with their windfall.
