Christmas cards can be recycled at Granard Branch Library until the end of January.
Due to popular demand the Glee Club is coming to Granard on Wednesdays at 6.30 to 8pm in Lus na Greine. Places are limited. Book early. All children 4-12 years old are welcome. Further information call Lisa Fox on 087-7619605.
The first meeting of Granard Guild of 2011 will take place on Thursday night January 13 at the usual time. New members are always welcome.
Granard Country Market will resume business on Friday next January 14 at the usual time.
Next weekend everyone is encouraged to go for a walk for health reasons. It doesn't have to be for miles, just a mile or two will do. You will feel better for it.
An Umbra Clothing Collection on Thursday January 13 from 9am to 12 noon at St. Mary's Church Car Park. All clothing collections will help fund 'The Education Project' which is aimed at educating the children of Kitui, Kenya. Collection of Ladies, gents and children's clothing also bed linen, curtains, towels and shoes welcome.
LUS NA GREINE
Set dancing resumes on Monday January 10 at 7.30pm. Cards every Monday night at 9pm. All welcome. Clothes collection - we are grateful for all who donated unwanted and old clothing to the centre over the past year. Please continue to do so in the new year. Next collection early February.
A big 'thank you' to the staff of Bank of Ireland, Granard, who dontated the proceeds of their customer draw to our centre. We are delighted that all monies received will be used on local projects during the coming year.

Sincere sympathy is extended to the sisters, nephews, nieces relatives and friends of the late Anna Farrell, Rathcronan, who passed to her eternal reward during the week. Burial took place in Carrick after Mass in St. Mary's Church on Saturday. May she rest in peace.

BALLYMORE LADIES GFC
Best wishes to all players, supporters and parents and a happy New Year. Many thanks to all who supported the Christmas Draw which was held in McElvaney's on Friday night. The club are holding their AGM on Friday night, January 14 in Killeen School at 8.30pm. Support from all parents and senior players would be appreciated. Presentation of awards on Sunday evening January 16 in McElvaney's at 6pm. All U10, U12, U14 and U16 players who represented Ballymore during last season need to attend for their awards. All supporters and parents welcome. Refreshments served.
