‘Dip for Donnacha’ fundraiser for young Longford boy

‘Dip for Donnacha’ fundraiser for young Longford boy

Former Longford ladies Intermediate football manager Brian Noonan from Mostrim is a member of the Kildare ladies Intermediate football management team for the 2023 season and the lilywhites are staging a fundraiser for Brian’s young son Donnacha.

The Kildare LGFA intermediate team are running a fundraiser for an amazing young boy Donnacha Noonan from Mostrim who has been diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 1’. They will be taking a dip on this Friday December 23rd, starting  at 11am in Portmarnock beach.

The family are looking to raise awareness of SMA and are behind a campaign to add screening for it in the newborn heel prick test because early detection is absolutely vital with it and at the moment it’s not included. Kildare ladies are hoping to raise enough funds so his family can purchase life changing equipment to help him with his condition.

Let's all get behind the Kildare ladies team and support little Donnacha and his family. Whether partaking in a dip or donating to the link below. If you cannot join them on the 23rd you are encouraged during this month of December to do your own dip for Donnacha in the sea, cold shower, ice bath or wherever and post a photo onto social media including the hashtag #DipForDonnacha and most importantly don’t forget to donate.

Well done to Kildare LGFA on this fantastic fundraising initiative. All support is welcome.
