Ballymahon based garage, Peter Hanley Motors is celebrating after receiving a Highly Commended Award at the 2018 SIMI Irish Motor Industry Awards.

The awards took place on Thursday night in the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, Dublin and saw comedian Oliver Callan act as MC.

Despite not winning 'Independent Sales Operation of the Year', Peter Hanley Motors received a Highly Commended award in the category on the night.
The garage is no stranger to awards having scooped the CarsIreland.ie Best Online Marketing Leinster Q3 winner and also the CarsIreland.ie Best Online Marketing Overall Winner in 2017.

SIMI President Gavin Hydes addressed the large attendance and said the night was a celebration of the Motor Industry.

“This is an industry that has collected €1.49 billion from car sales and around €5 billion in all motoring taxes last year. An Industry that employs over 42,000 people throughout Ireland and despite the current Brexit-driven challenges faced by our Sector, ours is an Industry that endeavours to excel in the services that we provide to our customers.”
