Weddings
Congratulations to Helen Cooper, formerly of Worcester, England, and Damien, son of Rosie and Peadar McGovern, Toome, who were married last Saturday week with the ceremony and reception taking place in the Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone. Emily Rattigan was maid of honour with Ronan McGovern performing the role of best man. After the ceremony and reception in the company of family and friends, Damien and Helen have travelled to Mexico for the honeymoon. We wish the happy and popular couple all the best for a wonderful future together.

Congratulations to Johnny Lennon and Sophie Grehnan who got married last Friday.
Eimear McGlynn married Barry Meade in the Church of the Assumption, Castledermot, Co Kildare. Fr Tom Murray officiated. The wedding was followed by a reception in nearby Kilkea Castle. Barry is from Kilmacud in Dublin, Eimear is daughter of Michael and Margaret McGlynn Aghamore, Ballinalee.
