Fantastic day awaits as Longford family set to host second consecutive Longford Ploughing

The Delaney family in Drinan, Ballymahon will host the Longford Ploughing Championships for the second consecutive year on Sunday, March 22.

Another fantastic family fun day awaits, along the banks of the Royal Canal, with live music from Ruaile Buaile, dancing competitions, trade exhibition and machinery show.

This year’s big celebration of ploughing and culture is the 90th annual event under the Longford Ploughing banner.

To mark nine decades of culture and set the ball rolling in style, the committee chair, Barry White is welcoming everyone to a launch night in Skelly's Ballymahon on Thursday, February 26 at 8pm.

Plans for the big event on Spring Equinox weekend will be announced.

Hop on the ploughing bandwagon, join us for some light refreshments in Skelly’s and meet the team working on Ireland’s largest springtime ploughing festival.
