A practical, easy-to-understand talk on the subject of safe and confident medicine use, will be hosted by an experienced community pharmacist tomorrow, Wednesday February 18, in Ballymahon Library at 11:45am.

The talk will enable attendees to avail of reliable advice directly from a pharmacist, and to ask questions in a relaxed, supportive setting. 

In what promises to be an informative and interesting talk, topics covered will include,

  • Over-the-counter medicines - what you should know
  • Understanding labels and dosages
  • How to take medicines safely
  • Managing multiple medications
  • Avoiding common medicine mistakes
  • Safe storage at home
  • What to ask your pharmacist

This talk is open to everyone but would be ideally suited to older adults, regular users of medication, carers and family members, and anyone who wants to feel more confident around medication. 

The information aims to help reduce risk of medication errors occurring as well as improve general safety around medication.
