Garda hunt for Longford casino armed raider still ongoing
The hunt continues for a man who fled Longford after brandishing a weapon and taking a sum of cash from a casino on Ballymahon Street in the town on November 13 last year.
The suspect is said to have won money in a casino game, and upon approaching the office to collect his winnings, is believed to have produced a weapon, reportedly a gun, before kicking open the door, and entering the office to take the cash.
Emergency services were called to the scene as a staff member sustained minor injuries during the incident.

Following the incident, Gardaí secured as evidence CCTV footage from inside the casino as well as footage from a security camera outside the premises.
Gardaí identified the suspect however they believe the individual in question left the county shortly after the incident.
According to a Garda spokesman, they are still investigating the matter and are appealing to anyone with information to contact Longford Garda Station on 043 3350570 or the Garda confidential line 1800 666 111.
