REVEALED: Longford Ploughing Championships poised to return to Ballymahon this year

The Longford Ploughing Championships 2026 are poised to return to the same venue as last year.  

Michael and Claire Delaney will host the Longford Ploughing  Championship & family fun day for the second consecutive year, on Sunday, March 22, in Drinan, Ballymahon, along the banks of the Royal Canal.

Longford Ploughing Association Chairperson Barry White made the formal announcement following a meeting on Monday night. And on behalf of the Association he welcomed ‘Anthony and Josephine O'Haire and the team at  O'Haire Buses’  on board as the main sponsors for Ploughing 2026.

The lively quintet ‘Ruaile Buaile’ are already on board as the headline band for what promises to be an exciting afternoon of outdoor music, dancing and family fun in Ballymahon, on Sunday, March 22.
