Funeral arrangements announced for young Cavan man who died tragically in Australia

Late Sean Keaney, Derrin Lower, Ballinagh, Co Cavan and Hanwell, London, England

The funeral arrangements have been announced for a young Cavan man who died tragically following an accident on New Year's Eve in Australia. 

Sean Keaney (aged 35 years), Derrin Lower, Ballinagh, Co Cavan and Hanwell, London, England, died on December 31 at Whitehaven Beach near the Great Barrier Reef. 

Sean will repose at his home (H12 AD80) on Monday, January 12 and on Tuesday, January 13 from 5pm - 8pm both evenings. Funeral Mass takes place on Wednesday, January 14 in St Joseph's Church, Drumkilly, at 12 noon, followed by burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

A shuttle bus will operate from St Joseph's Church, Drumkilly, carpark (A82 VO49) to the Keaney family home on both evenings.

Tara GFC paid tribute to Sean saying, "We were incredibly lucky to have Sean by our side as we celebrated last year’s and this year’s Championship victories, as well as the All Britain titles."

Sean is the loving son of Bridie and the late Charlie, brother of Cathriona (Ciaran), Fiona (Stephen), Breda, Katie, Matt (Sarah), Cathal (Lorraine) and Thomas (Shauna).

Sadly missed by his mother, sisters, brothers, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends. May He Rest In Peace.
