Eight families paid a visit to Octopus Kidz on Thursday, November 21 last, as they attended the inaugural meeting of the recently-formed Longford Multiple Club.

Open to mothers, fathers, relatives and carers of multiples, as well as expectant parents of multiples, the club aims to provide a safe area of play for the children, while parents can talk and share stories, tips and advice with each other.

Speaking to the Leader, club founder Helen Hopkins said she was delighted with the turnout and the feedback she has received since. Details have yet to be confirmed for the next meeting, but it is hoped that the group will meet twice a month from January 2014, with one meeting in the morning and another in the afternoon to cater for the children, who range in age from 4 months to six years.

For more information, contact Helen on 087 9568501 or Elaine Farrell on 085 8567239.
