The man was released without charge and a file will now be prepared for the Direction of Public Prosecutions
Longford Gardaí have arrested a man in his 60's following the raid of a house in south county Longford last Wednesday.
The search of the building resulted in a haul of cannabis herb worth €10,000 being seized by officers.
A Garda spokeswoman said, "Gardaí in Longford conducted a search operation at a residential property in Ardagh, Longford on the afternoon of Wednesday October 29.
"During the course of the search operation , cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €10,000 approximately was seized.
"A male, aged in his 60s was arrested at the scene.
"He was detained and has since been released without charge and a file will now be prepared for the Direction of Public Prosecutions."
