Longford Athletics Club athlete Ashley Ryan will proudly wear the Irish singlet next month, having earned international selection for an upcoming cross-country competition.
Ashley is among the Irish team selected for the British Masters Cross Country Championships, which will take place on Saturday, November 15 in Roundhay Park, Leeds.
Ashley's selection comes on the back of an excellent performance at the Autumn Open Cross Country Championships earlier this month in Abbotstown, where she placed 5th overall and claimed bronze in the F35 category.
This will mark her first appearance in the green singlet, a milestone achievement for the Longford Athletics member. Ashley has also been in fine form recently. She was part of the Longford Athletics Club trio alongside Michelle McGee and Fiona Gettings who secured a superb team title at the National Road Relays in Raheny, Dublin, last April.
Best wishes to Ashley as she prepares to represent Ireland in international competition.
