Gardai arrest a suspect - whose feet are seen here - at Convent View
GARDAI have arrested a suspect following an armed robbery at a Midlands pharmacy.
The incident happened just after 4pm yesterday, Wednesday, October 22, at a pharmacy on the Arden Road, near the Kilbeggan bridge in Tullamore town centre.
The suspect was arrested by Gardai, with the assistance of a local resident, as he attempted to flee down nearby Convent View.

It is understood he fled the pharmacy with a bag containing medication.
A statement from Laois/ Offaly Gardai this evening said: "A Garda member on foot patrol in Tullamore this afternoon observed suspicious activity and intercepted a male who had just carried out a robbery at a local business premises.
"Following a short foot pursuit, the suspect was apprehended, and a firearm was recovered. The suspect is currently detained at Tullamore Garda Station."
