Longford student Ríonagh McCormack after she was presented with a prestigious Naughton Scholarship at a reception at Trinity College Dublin

Congratulations to Longford student Ríonagh McCormack after she was presented with a prestigious Naughton Scholarship at a reception at Trinity College Dublin on Saturday, October 18.

Rionagh is daughter of Dr Seamus and Jo McCormack, Newtownforbes and granddaughter of Nellie McCormack, Deanscurragh.

She attended Scoil Mhuire Newtownforbes and Meán Scoil Mhuire, Longford.

Rionagh received 625 points in her Leaving Certificate this year and now the Naughton Scholarship award.

Meán Scoil Mhuire also received €1,000 and this was presented to school principal Siobhan Cullen.
