Longford man who was arrested on foot of bench warrant appears in court

The preliminary hearing was at Longford District Court

A man accused of cannabis herb possession, who failed to appear before Longford District Court on September 16 last, was arrested last Tuesday on foot of a bench warrant prior to a sitting of the court.

Longford Garda Anthony Scanlon executed the warrant by arresting Mr Bobby Kelly, of 87 Cartrun Breac, Lisbrack Road, Longford, and bringing him before Judge Bernadette Owens last Tuesday.

With no objection to bail from Sergeant Enda Daly, the court remanded Mr Kelly on continuing bail on his own bond of €200 until November 4.
