Longford County Council

The N55 Old Dublin Road in Edgeworthstown will be closed to traffic for one week starting tonight, Oct 2, as Roadstone carries out pavement resurfacing works for Longford County Council.

The works, which will be implemented on the pavements from the Maria Edgeworth Roundabout to the junction at Quinn Hardware Store, are expected to be completed by next Thursday night, Oct 9.

In order to reduce inconvenience to road users in the area, the resurfacing works will take place during weekday nights only - namely from 7pm until 4am.

To facilitate the completion of the works however, the road will be closed to general traffic during those hours, with only local access permitted.

The road will be reopened to all traffic each morning from 4am onwards.

Traffic restrictions will apply to weekdays only.
