Longford woman allegedly stole alcohol from same store on a number of occasions

Defendant who appeared before Longford District Court has been remanded on continuing bail

A Longford woman accused of four counts of theft, all from SuperValu in the Hazelwood Shopping Centre, has been remanded on continuing bail until November 18.

Longford District Court heard how on March 24 and 28 of this year, Helen Nevin (40), of 53 Lana Aoibhinn is alleged to have stolen alcohol to the value of €12 on both occasions. 

Ms Nevin also allegedly stole alcohol to the value of €16 and €35, on March 29 and April 6, respectively.  

Prosecuting Garda Alan Doherty of Longford Garda Station arrested Ms Nevin at her home in Lana Aoibhinn on April 23 this year, before later charging her with 4 offences under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud) Act 2001.

Ms Nevin was remanded on continuing bail until November 18.
