Cloonfour National School in County Roscommon aims to raise €80,000 from their Quid Games fundraising initiative to develop a fantastic new astroturf pitch.

Karen Fitzpatrick explained, “We are also seeking sponsorship from Longford, Roscommon and Leitrim businesses to help us reach that goal.”

What are Quid Games? Quid Games is a lively, community-focused event where participants tackle fun, energetic challenges. Think of games like "Red Light, Green Light" or "Balloon Boom," all designed to be safe, inclusive, and a great laugh.

Participants will compete for €10,000 in prize money, which can be donated to a chosen charity, club, or kept for themselves.

Karen outlined that there are many sponsorship opportunities. “We offer booklet sponsorship starting at €250 for a quarter-page, €500 for a half-page, and €1,000 for a full-page ad. We also invite local businesses to consider naming rights for the pitch - a unique way to leave a lasting legacy.”

There will be a special ‘Cloonfour NS Quid Games’ launch night this Saturday, August 30 at 8pm at Cox's Steakhouse in Dromod, Co. Leitrim (N41X893). Enjoy finger food, music, and a sneak peek at how Quid Games works. It's a perfect introduction for participants, helpers, and anyone curious about the event.

The main Quid Games event will be held at the Longford Arms Hotel on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 8pm. Karen added, “Don’t miss out on the excitement and the chance to support a great cause.”
