Gardaí are investigating an incident where a woman allegedly sprayed pepper spray towards others at a premises during a 'disturbance' on Main Street, Longford last Sunday night.
It is understood there was a 'disagreement' between 'two groups of families' with up to three adults in each group at a venue where alcohol was being served.

The adults had been attending a country music event at premises on Main Street prior to the incident before tensions boiled over.
A call was made to Longford Garda Station about a disturbance involving two groups of families and officers arrived a short time later.

A Garda spokesperson said, "Gardaí responded to reports of a disturbance at a premises on Main Street, Longford, shortly after 11pm on Sunday, 20th July 2025, involving a group of adults.
"No arrests were made, no injuries were reported and order was restored. Inquiries into the incident are ongoing."
