The case was heard at Longford District Court
A judge has requested a restorative justice report on a young woman who was caught in Longford with a haul of cocaine valued at nearly €2,000.
Lucia Nemeth (25) of Parnell Square, Athlone pleaded guilty to being in possession of drugs for sale or supply following a Garda search of her car at Park Road, Longford on March 11, 2024.
Sergeant Mark Mahon said Gardaí observed a suspicious vehicle in an area known for the sale and supply of drugs in the area at 7pm.

Officers spoke to the driver, Ms Nemeth, who was acting suspiciously and she admitted there were drugs in the car and Gardai found the stash of cocaine valued at €1,948 and seized it.
Ms Nemeth had no previous convictions.
Solicitor Frank Gearty said his client had been in a social circle with people who were a bad influence on her, but she is no longer involved with them and she was paid €100 to do 'the errand'.

The pharmaceutical technician is now sharing a house with her sister and her sister's friend.
Mr Gearty said his client is 'ashamed' and 'horrified' and cooperated with Gardai.
Judge Bernadette Owens directed a restorative justice report be compiled on the defendant and the case was adjourned until November 4, 2025.
