Two Longford schools are honoured at An Taisce Awards

Two local national schools were recognised at the An Taisce Green-Schools awards ceremony at the Radisson Hotel, Athlone.

Scoil Bhríde, Glen in Edgeworthstown made history as the first Longford school to achieve all ten Green-Schools Flags, receiving the Global Citizenship Food & Biodiversity Flag - a remarkable milestone reflecting years of dedication to environmental education.

St Michael’s Boys NS in Longford Town was also celebrated, earning the Global Citizenship Marine Environment Flag for their efforts in promoting marine awareness and sustainability.

The An Taisce Green-Schools were supported by Carla McGoey, Environmental Awareness Officer, Longford County Council.
