Congratulations to Fionn Crossan who was announced as the Lanesboro Community College Leaving Cert student of the year.
As the school year draws to a close a very enjoyable Awards event took place in Lanesboro Community College on May 20.
This occasion marked the end of a very successful year for our Transition Year class and also recognised our Third Year students with the presentation to each student of their JCSP awards.

On the night, Ms Hannon welcomed the students and their parents and complimented all staff and students on the successful completion of their various programmes.
Special congratulations to Aydan Docherty, recipient of the TY Participation and Attendance Award and Florence Brunt who was crowned TY Student of the Year 2025.
Congratulations also to Lena Gorna, recipient of the Bart Clancy Award and Sarah Healy, the Junior Cycle Student of the Year 2025.

Graduation Service
Our Leaving Cert Graduation Service was held in the school on May 22. This proved to be an emotional but very happy occasion for our students, their families and staff. Thanks to Father Turlough Baxter for celebrating the Service in such a moving way.

A big thanks to Ms Keenan and Mr Feeney for organising the ceremony. Well done also to the students who participated in readings and prayers and the beautiful music on the night. We are also very grateful to our Parents Association for providing such lovely food, it was much appreciated.
Congratulations to Fionn Crossan who was named Leaving Cert student of the year. Well done also to Molly Naughton who was presented with the Mercy Award.

Congratulations also to Tiegan Smyth who was presented with the Bláthu Award in memory of Bernice Martin.
The Principal’s Recognition Award was presented to Mark Yakovenko, Danylo Gumenuyk and Nikita Honcharenko.
Special Recognition Awards were also presented on the night to Luke Cullen, Seán O’Halloran, Grace Donlon and Samanta Galdika for their Trojan work on LCC Student Council.
Awards were also presented to Chriswin Regit, Lucy Malone and Daragh Creedon who have all excelled in the area of Student Leadership.
