Big day in Longford on Sunday as Lakeland Vintage Club host their show at new venue

Lakeland Vintage Club annual vintage show and family day is on Sunday, May 11 at Creevaghbeg, Ballymahon N39 E2V5

This weekend will see the return of the Lakeland Vintage Club annual vintage show and family day.

The day (Sunday, May 11) will have something for all the family. The vintage cars are the main attraction but there will also be various activities available such as vintage hay making, flower arranging and much more.

Michael Lynch explained what Sunday's vintage show will have in store.

“It’s an all-new venue on the outskirts of Ballymahon - Creevaghbeg N39 E2V5 -  a couple of minutes from the centre of the town.

“We have a lot going on there. We have kids entertainment,  vintage cars, tractor balancing, vintage haymaking, arts and crafts. There's a flower arranging display, live music,  a dog show, and a future classic section.

“From the 80s rather than vintage, younger people are really into it.”

This year the club has chosen Cian’s Kennels as their charity party.

“Cian's Kennels will have a stall at the show and people will  be able to donate.”
